It took all of Coraline's might to throw herself and her wounded friend off the crumbling balcony, especially being so close to the ground. She hoisted herself up on an elbow, shaking from rough landing combined with the fading adrenaline and burning muscles, as she caressed her aching temple. If they had jumped a second too late...

Coraline froze as her weary eyes flew wide open, looking forward at Norman's limp form, growing terrified at how frighteningly still he was. She forced herself onto her knees and scrambled to his side, placing one hand on his shoulder and the other against his back, extremely careful not to brush the cuts. As Coraline carefully rolled him over onto his back, Norman's features soon twisted with pain. His breathing was shallow, uneven, as the boy clenched his teeth and a weak hiss escaping him before it withered with a whimper.

Coraline shuddered a gasp after one look at the terrible gash near Norman's stomach.

So this comic's an extension of what happened after the Other Mother's attack, and I finally figured out how to make wounds on clothes more convincing.
